Meet Chris

Hello — I’m Chris Grahamson, a LAMDA tutor based in SE London (SE23) and a working actor with experience in the West End, regional theatre, television and film. I trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), and I love bringing that professional insight into my teaching. You can find my Spotlight CV in the “About Us” section below.

My lessons are friendly, relaxed, and confidence‑focused. I want learners to feel comfortable exploring performance, whether they’re preparing for an exam, building communication skills, or discovering drama for the first time. I hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, and I take a warm, supportive approach to safeguarding and creating a positive learning environment.

Being taught by a working actor has great benefits — students get real‑world insight and up‑to‑date industry experience — but it also means that occasionally I have to work away, so some flexibility around lessons is needed. During longer theatre contracts I may need extended periods away from teaching, and when that happens I always do my best to offer a regular check‑in lesson — usually online — so learners stay connected, supported, and on track. Communication is always at the heart of that flexibility, and I’m more than happy to talk things through so we can find an arrangement that keeps everyone comfortable and happy.

I teach children and young people, adults, schools and small groups, and I’m happy to teach other LAMDA syllabi if needed.
